Green Tea Punch

Recently, several clinical studies have shown that green tea may have important health benefits, thanks to high levels of cancer-fighting phytochemicals. This punch blends green tea with cranberry juice, honey and sparkling water.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • 1/4 cup mild-flavoured honey
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice concentrate (freezer section by the orange juice)
  • 2 cups chilled sparkling water
  • Orange and lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water heat to boiling. Add tea bags and remove from heat. Stir in honey and let steep 15 minutes.
  2. Pour through a strainer into serving picture and stir in cranberry-juice concentrate; discard tea bags.
  3. Just before serving, stir in sparkling water, then garnish, if desired, with orange and lemon slices and mint.

Makes 6 1/2 cups
